ASHEVILLE - Avoid getting left out in the cold when showing up to your favorite restaurant only to find it closed for the holidays.
Local restaurants may have adjusted hours for Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), Christmas Day (Dec. 25), New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) and New Year’s Day (Jan. 1).
For those hosting gatherings at home or charged with contributing a dish for the company party, look to restaurants, catering services, private chefs and grocery stores for ready-made dishes to liven up the spread ― and make life a little easier.

Ingles is offering holiday dinner packages starting at $44.98. The meals range from turkey and cornbread stuffing and homestyle gravy to an old-fashioned pit ham with green beans, mashed sweet potatoes and Southern-style cole slaw.

Hemingway’s Cuba
Hemingway’s Cuba will be open from 7 a.m.- 2 p.m. for brunch and 4:30-11 p.m. for dinner Dec. 24.
On Dec. 25, brunch will be offered from 7 a.m.-2 p.m., the small plates and bar menu will be available from 2-4:30 p.m., and a 3-course prix fixe dinner will be served 4:30-9 p.m. The prix fixe dinner will offer crab empanadas or Cuban black bean stew starters, herb-roasted pork loin or langosta enchilada entrées, and a sharable cake de ron dessert.
On Dec. 31, brunch will be offered 7 a.m.-2 p.m., the small plates and bar menu will be available 2-4 p.m. and 10 p.m.-12:30 a.m., and dinner from 4:30-10 p.m. The full dinner menu will be available, plus Camarones en salsa de coco for $28 and crispy pork belly for $38. A deejay will play from 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m.
On Jan. 1, brunch will be offered from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. and dinner from 4:30-9 p.m.

Isa’s French Bistro
Isa’s French Bistro will be open 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. for brunch and 5-10 p.m. for dinner with bar-only service from 3-5 p.m. Dec. 24.
On Dec. 25, breakfast will be served from 7:30-10 a.m. and a prix fixe dinner ($82) from 12-10 p.m. with the last seating at 8 p.m.
On Dec. 31, brunch service will be from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and dinner from 5-10 p.m. with last seating at 8 p.m. and bar-only service from 3-5 p.m. A prime rib dinner special will be available for $48.
Isa’s will host a Roaring 20’s themed NYE Party in The Cellar from 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m. with a band, charcuterie and dessert boards, a champagne toast with one drink ticket included in the cost of the event ticket, $72. Dinner guests will receive an additional drink ticket.
On Jan. 1, brunch will be from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and dinner from 5-9 p.m. with bar-only service from 3-5 p.m.
