#THIS will be AMAZING!!!! 1) So proud that “just a kid from Akron” is behind something other than dribbling! #iykyk2) I’m always a fan of Aneel Bhusri & happy to see his cameo3) I’ve been trying to impress open colleagues and executives for quite some time now (and especially in the Workday space) that SKILLS are what’s desired and searched for in the talent pools!!!! I am so tired of the out-dated way of thinking that advanced degrees should still be a requirement. I have seen it very negatively impact and limit talent pools! Too many bad hires based on degrees, but lacking the analytical skill set.

College grad Brielle Asero, 21, went viral recently after sharing about the hardships and realities of a corporate job. I think she was unfairly criticized for it, and in this video, I share my viewpoint. What do you think? Does the 9-5 workday need to be reimagined, reconstructed - maybe even retired?! 🤔 Let's talk about something that's been on my mind lately. You know, we often hear about companies flaunting their "cool" perks - from ping-pong tables to unlimited snacks. Don't get me wrong, those are nice, but here's the real scoop: A great culture doesn't start with great perks. It starts with paying people what they're worth. 💰💎Think about it – when you're compensated fairly for your hard work and dedication, you feel valued and respected. It's like a powerful vote of confidence from your employer, saying, "Hey, we recognise your contributions, and we're investing in your growth." 🚀✨'But you work with self-employed individuals..'- you're right! A key part of my current role is working with our team of self-employed Personal Trainers to understand, and grow, their worth and value as a personal brand. Helping them realise their potential and that their time IS worth it. Their knowledge IS worth it. They truly do have incredible contributions to make and are changing peoples lives on the daily... but it counts for nothing if they don't realise it themselves. So sure, having your birthday off and free smoothie Fridays are fun, but they can't replace the fundamental sense of fairness and equity. So, whether you're a company leader or a team member, let's remember that the heart of a thriving culture is built on a foundation of equitable compensation. 💰 Let's continue to champion an environment where everyone is recognised and rewarded for their expertise, passion, and effort. 🤝💼 Because at the end of the day, that's what truly ignites the spark in our workplaces and drives us to do our best, day in and day out. What are your thoughts on this? Share your experiences and let's keep the conversation going! 💬👇#WorkplaceFairness #CultureMatters #EquitableCompensation #LinkedInConvo

👩💼 Do you often feel disengaged at work?If your answer is yes, you’re not alone. 2 out of 3 Americans are disengaged at work, and the trend of “quiet quitting” is on the rise.Companies don’t know what employees want.💼✨ Team members yearn for appreciation, recognition, and a workplace that values them and their contributions. They want to be supported in their growth and have opportunities to make a meaningful impact. They want to know that they are more than just a number on the payroll. To all managers:🌟 YOU have the power to shape a thriving work environment that fosters engagement and fulfillment.🗣️ Start by listening to the individuals on your team. Understand their needs and aspirations. Encourage open communication and feedback.❓ Here are some questions you can ask:In what working or team environments do you feel like you are at your best? What are frustrations you feel at work that I can help remove? What can I do to make you feel more supported in your career?💪 Then take their feedback into account and create opportunities for growth and skill development.🙌 Recognize your team for their efforts. Gratitude and validation fuel the team’s soul.Remember, it's not just about checking boxes; it's about building a workplace culture that truly cares about its people.Employees: 🤔 What do you wish your managers knew? What would help you feel more engaged at work?#EmployeeEngagement #ManagementMatters #WorkplaceCulture

Are we still doing Taylor Swift / Travis Kelce memes? Look, I have a confession.I rag on pizza parties, but I LOVE pizza. 🍕 Who doesn’t?But that’s not the point. The point is that leaders need to do more to understand what their teams really want and need.I have nothing against the occasional pizza party. But you know what I love more than pizza?🍕 Time off with my family🍕 A well-deserved promotion🍕 Flexibility and autonomy🍕 Trusting me to work remotely🍕 A meaningful pay raise🍕 Paid parental leave 🍕 Time to rest and recuperate 🍕 Opportunities to connect with my team outside of the office It’s not that pizza is “bad”.It’s that pizza is not enough.Just like Travis Kelce without T Swift. If pizza is your default way of rewarding employees, it’s time to rethink your recognition strategy. You’ve tried Fun-Fridays, offsites, and informal meetings..…And still, you haven’t figured out how to make your employees happy. Here’s how you can create a plan to make your employees happy: (6 easy steps)1 - First things first, understand what matters to your team. Ask them what they like and what makes them feel good at work. 2 - Once you know what your team wants, set some goals. Think about what you want to achieve and how you'll know when you've done it.3 - Think of some ideas to make your team happy. You can do this on your own or get everyone involved. 4 - Once you've got your ideas, make a plan. Figure out who's doing what, when they're doing it, and what they need. 5 - As you start rolling out your plan, keep everyone in the loop. Let them know what's happening and why it's happening. 6 - Finally, keep an eye on how things are going. Ask your team how they're feeling and if they're happy with the plan. If something's not working, tweak it. Follow these steps, and you'll create a workplace where everyone feels happy and valued. What do you think about this plan?#funfriday #employeeengagement

Happy Monday my dearest connection. May we rejuvenate and begin anew in this brand new week.Have you ever heard someone criticize a job candidate for leaving a job within a year or two? This negativity is often misplaced. High turnover rates indicate a problem with the company, not the employee. Employees leave jobs where they aren't being compensated fairly, don't have growth opportunities, or where the culture isn't healthy. At the end of the day, employees will do what's best for themselves if their employer isn't doing the same. Take care of your employees, or they'll find someone who will. #employeeengagement #companyculture #employeeturnover

Day 1 as Director of People and Culture - An Incredible Start! 🌟I'm thrilled to share that my first day at Middle Tree was nothing short of exceptional. My experience set a high bar for what a successful first day should look like. Here are a few key takeaways:1️⃣ Personalized Welcome: The warm and personalized welcome I received made me feel like more than just a new hire; it made me feel like part of the family.2️⃣ Crystal-Clear Expectations: From day one, I had a clear understanding of my role, responsibilities, and the expectations for success.3️⃣ Supportive Team: The camaraderie and support from my colleagues have been instrumental in easing those first-day nerves. The 💐were definitely a nice touch! I did not feel overwhelmed with too much information or too many meetings. Some things to keep in mind as you’re onboarding new employees.I'm genuinely excited about the journey ahead with and the amazing team here! What other “first day” tips would you recommend?Happy Humpday #LinkedIn! #hr #humanresources #hrcommunity #ricklynsreflections 💭

Ok, Rockstars - how come I haven't seen this fantastic ad before today? I’m 6 months late to the #Workday / #Rockstar party but if you missed it too, I’m re-posting for you! I love how this shows Brand marketing can become as important as the product itself. It’s hard NOT to adopt the hackneyed language of the corporate workplace when you’re in it. I am GUILTY in the first degree of calling colleagues ‘Rock Stars’. In this ad, Real Rock Stars; Paul Stanley, Ozzy Osbourne, Joan Jett, Billy Idol and Gary Clarke Jr - call us all out, and show us up. I love it because:👀 It’s Engaging😂 It’s Funny🤘 It’s Memorable 💭 It’s Suggestive💥 It is TRUE! GREAT Brand marketing is just as important for B2B enterprise Software, as it is for B2C brands. The ad exposes a truth we all recognise, but it also suggests - that Workday CAN help you become an HR Rock Star.
